Project management web app
Our team took on a challenge of designing a project management web app concept that would bring together all necessary information on the palm of a user’s hand. We were aiming to create a project management tool, allowing users to track active tasks and monitor work activity. For those who hate multiple folders and tabs, we wanted to make something engaging and good-looking. To accomplish this goal, we came up with a project management web app design which combines functionality and fun.
To showcase the main functionality a user faces when opening an application we focused on designing a home screen. It displays all daily tasks, and work statistics including hours spent, project activity, and overall progress.
Quite often project management web apps are designed in a cold palette, including different shades of blue buttons on the white background. Here we made a decision to follow the color palette with a bright scheme. It combines pink, orange and mustard accents, aiming to stand out among competitors. As for the background color, instead of using plain white we chose an ivory-like color which is more accessible and eye-friendly. For the same reason we opted for the SF Pro Display sans serif font. Being a working tool used on almost a daily basis, a project management web app should be engaging and not damaging for the worker to interact with.
Therefore, the main characteristic of this project management web app design is a user-friendly dashboard that compactly presents key information about the user's activity. We can adapt our design to meet your specific business needs and create a dashboard that displays processes important for your business.
